Have you ever dreamed of becoming a fearless, proficient, always-comfortable-in-the-water kind of diver? If so, there is a name for that! It's called a MasterScuba Diver. Becoming a Master Scuba Diver is no easy feat, but is doable for every diver out there. In fact, only about 2% of divers ever achieve this elite certification. This program offered by PADItakes you one step farther in your scuba training and is the highest ranking certification you can get before stepping into the realm of professional diving.
If you want to become the best of the best in recreational scuba diving, then follow these steps below to take on the Master Scuba Diver Challenge:
Step 1: Become an Open Water Diver
Yes, the first step in becoming a Master Scuba Diver is to learn to dive. Most of you have already finished this step, but if you haven't, nothing beats a solid foundation. Choose a dive store, like Underseas Scuba Center, who prides themselves in producing well trained Open Water Divers.
Step 2: Become an Advanced Open Water Diver
This course introduces new divers to critical knowledge and skills that beginning courses just don’t have the time to cover. You will do one intro dive to 5 different specialties like night diving, deep diving, search and recovery, etc.
Step 3: Become a Rescue Diver
Many divers say this is the most challenging yet most rewarding course you can take because you will learnto prevent and manage problems in the water, and become more confident in your skills as a diver, knowing that you can help others if needed.The PADI Rescue Diver course prepares you to deal with dive emergencies, minor and major, using a variety of techniques.
Step 4: Earn at least 5 PADI Specialty Certifications
PADI offers over 20 different specialty certifications, most of which we teach right here at Underseas Scuba Center! This is your time as a diver to explore in more depth the things that interest you. Love photography? Try an underwater photo or video course. Intrigued by shipwrecks? Try wreck diving. Love nature? How about learning more about the underwater world through a Fish ID or Underwater Naturalist course? Your choices seem almost endless!
Step 5: Log at least 50 scuba dives
The final step in becoming a PADI Master Scuba Diver is making sure you have enough dive experience to be proficient and totally comfortable in the water. You are sure to gain this comfort level in the water by logging a minimum of 50 dives. If you need help getting in more dives, consider joining one of our many group dive trips. We plan them all year round and dive several times each day! This is a quick and fun way to log a lot of dives!
Step 6: Visit the store and send in your application!
After completing steps 1-5 above you are certainly a well trained and highly skilled diver. All that's left to recognize you for your amazing diving accomplishmentsis to come on into Underseas Scuba Center and we will fill out your Master Scuba Diver application and send it off to PADI.
